Sofia Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara Vergara was born in and was raised in Barranquilla, Colombia. Margarita Davila De Vergara happens to be her mother. Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo provides livestock to the meat industry. She is the youngest of five sisters. The school she attended was a bilingual, private Spanish/English high school. She then studied pre-dental. Then, Sofia was discovered by a photographer, whilst at the beach. This led to various jobs for modeling and TV. In her early twenties, she was a runway models. From 1995 until 1998, she hosted a travel program, Fuera de serie (1995), which gave her an opportunity to be seen in and around the United States. She played her first role in 2002's crime show Big Trouble. Her breakout role was Gloria Delgado on the American television show Modern Family (2009).
