Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974 in Aviano Italy), American actress. She is known for her naive roles that are charming and likable. Adams began her career as a child of seven living in Castle Rock Colorado. At the beginning of 1990, Adams began performing and dancing professionally for the Boulder Dinner Theatre as well as the Country Dinner Playhouse. Then she moved to Minnesota where she was scouted for Drop Dead Gorgeous, a mock documentary film that explored beauty contests. Her screen debut was a huge success with the role of an obnoxious but friendly contestant, Janet relocating from Minnesota to Los Angeles where she began a professional acting career.
